Dear Greenland

The Greenland ice sheet is melting. We’ve seen the pictures, read the articles, and heard the scientists speak about the consequences. We all know why it is happening, but in Ida Frisch’s book Dear Greenland, there is no talk of two-degree targets or stern wagging fingers. Instead, the speaker tries to understand the white island. Where is it headed? What is it transforming into? Is there a kind of relief in becoming someone else? Can the relationship between sea and ice be compared to love?
