Ida Frisch’s "Black Dog" sold to Denmark’s Batzer & Co
We are over the moon to share that Ida Frisch’s Black Dog is heading to Denmark, where it will be published by Batzer & Co!
Ida Frisch
Ida Frisch (b. 1990) is a Norwegian writer. She made her debut with the novel Itch (Klør) in 2018, and in the spring of 2020, she published the poetry collection Dear Greenland (Kjære Grønland). Her newest novel, Black Dog (Sort hund) was published in September 2025.
Frisch lives with her partner and dog in the mountains of Norway, where she explores a more climate-neutral life, climbs mountains, and wonders what her next project will be.
