My Friend, the Pirate – selected title by NORLA! This gem of a novel is nominated to the Nordic Prize for Literature C&YA, was awarded the Norwegian Critic’s Prize – a superb read for all ages above 8. Rights so far sold to Denmark and the Faroese Islands.
In April 2025, Gutkind Forlag will be publishing a new novel, Hey Hafni. We are also thrilled that the brand-new Akoya Publishing has acquired three of Helle’s books for UK English publication: they, Hafni Says, and Hey Hafni.
The 2024 Amalie Skram Prize has been awarded to Olaug Nilssen. The award ceremony took place on August 22, during the annual celebration of Amalie Skram’s birthday at the Literature House in Bergen.
The Heirs of the Arctic was published in France by Le bruit du monde last week (Les héritiers de l’Arctique, tr. Loup-Maëlle Besançon), and the first reviews are outstanding.
