Danish author Amalie Trudsø joins Winje Agency

August 18 2025

We are delighted to welcome Danish author Amalie Laulund Trudsø to Winje Agency! Her latest book, An Artist’s Home (Kunstnerhjem, Gutkind), came out in March and has been met with glowing reviews in Denmark. A powerful exploration of art, class, and women’s lives across four decades, the book is both tender and raw at the same time, and Amalie’s evocative prose paints literary images that stay with the reader long after finishing the final page. At the heart of the book is Signe, a protagonist who feels like the friend we all wish we had. It is a journey through social class, but also through the life of a woman and mother, where freedom and independence – and the right to one’s own body – come at a price.

Amalie is Winje Agency’s third Danish author, and she is thrilled to find her first agency home with us. We look forward to helping her reach new readers across the globe!
