Ruth Lillegraven’s "Blood Ties" enjoying success in Germany

October 14 2024

The second book in Ruth Lillegraven’s thrilling “Clara”-series, Blood Ties (Dunkler Abgrund, Ullstein Verlag, tr. Günther Frauenlob) is hitting it out of the park in Germany since launching a couple of months ago!

Blood Ties (Av mitt blod, Kagge Forlag 2021) is spun on the themes of grief, betrayal, love, blood ties, and impossible choices. Clara, our eccentric heroine, has recently become a widow and a single mother. This psychological thriller is a gripping page-turner rendered through beautiful, tight, and precise prose.

Here’s what a few of the biggest German retailers have to say:
“Exceptionally good, disturbing, and gripping – just like Book 1 – Tiefer Fjord (Deep Fjord).” J. Wohlgemut (Thalia Bielefeld)
“A great story, and incredibly suspenseful.” Hannelore Wolter (Thalia Zentrale)

Books in the series have been sold to 9 markets, plus film rights, we can’t wait for book 3 (title TBD) to come out next year!

Congratulations to all! Stay tuned for even more good news from Ruth soon…
