Sickle by Ruth Lillegraven on German hotlist for best publications by indie-publishers in 2019

September 8 2019

Sickel (Sigd) by Ruth Lillegraven is a cycle of poems that is also a novel, an unforgetable evocation of longing and loss, of dreams and reality and the importance of language itself. Soon out in Germany and already on the Hotlist for best book from independent German publishing houses. Congratulations to author, translator Klaus Anders and Edition Rugerup. The cover is a watercolour from the 1850’s and the actual view from Endre and his family’s farm. The painter is unknown, the view is wonderful.
