"The Corpses We Planted" now sold to 7 markets
With its most recent sale to Denmark, Lina Wolff’s August Prize-nominated novel The Corpses We Planted (Liken vi begravde, Albert Bonniers förlag) has now been sold to seven markets! 🎉🎉
Gads forlag editorial director Julie Paludan-Müller says:
“The Corpses We Planted is an utterly magnificent book. It brings to mind writers like Agota Kristof and Olga Tokarczuk; yes, it truly is a novel of that caliber. Lina Wolff unfolds a distinctive kind of grotesque social realism, filled with both horror and tenderness, stirring up grand themes with irreverent brilliance. And one can’t help but completely fall in love with the book’s narrator—Jolly is simply unforgettable.”
The book is also heading to Finland (Otava), France (Éditions Les Léonides), Italy (Iperborea), the Netherlands (Atlas Contact), Norway (Oktober), and the United States (Other Press).
Congratulations to all!
